PITT COUNTY GIRLS SOFTBALL LEAGUE- LITTLE LEAGUE WORLD SERIES CHAMPIONS!

What else is there to say?….continued…..

Braelyn, Brooklyn, Kenzie, Aurora and this Pitt County Defense DIDN’T ALLOW A SINGLE RUN IN THE ENTIRE WORLD SERIES!!! (5 Games)…..Let that sink in for a moment.

So excited for, and proud of, these Players, Manager Brad Medhus, Coaches Brandon Peebles and Percy Edwards. What a job by all 15 of them!

What an amazing & supportive parent group!

BUT……this WAS NOT a solo venture. So, from my perspective, I’d also like to give a tip of the hat to:

The League these girls play in all season, PCGSL…

To the coaches in that regular season league, past and present…

To the PCGSL Board who made a tough decision, just a few short years ago, to make the switch from Babe Ruth to Little League, giving these girls an opportunity to compete in this….

To all those who were part of helping this event (LLSWS) to land HERE, at Elm St, after being in Oregon, led by the Weingartz’s….

To the previous World Series teams, who paved the road for this team, to know winning this event was possible…

To the travel coaches all of these girls play for, for continuing to Develop them…

And, last & maybe as important as any, TO THE COMMUNITY WE LIVE IN, which provides a support network & opportunities for &players, that is drying up everywhere else, but was front & center for the whole world to see again yesterday on ESPN/ABC!
