How about 2 of our own being named Conference Players Of The Week in College Softball!
-MAKENNA MATTHIJS, a UNC Greensboro senior, had 8 hits on the week, four 2Bs, a HR & drove in 5 in capturing the award for the Southern Conference….. It is the 4th time in her career there capturing this honor! Meanwhile….
-EMILY KIRBY, a senior pitcher at Liberty University, hurled a pair of Complete Game Shutouts, going 2-0 on the week & struck out 17 in 14 IP in being named the Atlantic Sun Conference Pitcher Of The Week! She also eclipsed the 100 Strikeout mark for the season!
