18 Feb Fall/Winter Speed & Strength Groups Wrap Up, Season Is Here!
Really proud of all the work put in, since the summer, by our High School and Middle School Speed & Strength Groups. These athletes have made considerable gains in very measurable ways, while also making their bodies more injury-proof, stable, athletic and explosive……One example is Matthew Matthijs (pictured, high school freshman), who gained 35lbs in 8 months, while getting faster! We had over 2 dozen athletes set PRs in the Olympic Lifts, had several dozen more achieve speed/quickness gains, and almost all made measurable mobility gains, just highlighting a few things. For both the males and females, the base has been laid and now it’s time to go “in-season”. The periodization will enter a different phase now for each of these athletes, but couldn’t be more proud of the way they’ve all earned the right to win this season.
