Congratulations to GAVIN WHITLEY (DH Conley ‘28) on his recent commitment to ECU
! Last year as a sophomore pitcher at DHC, Gavin threw up a paltry 0.45 ERA in 12 appearances……continued
He’s continued to shine bright on the summer circuit & it was no surprise his phone rang quickly on 8/1. ECU has committed the powerful righty as a P/3B and do not be surprised if he does some big things at the plate over the next 2 high school seasons &/or summers. He can hit. Gavin has grown up in here & it’s been our honor to know this whole family since Little League…(I’ve even bought 5 Jet Skis from Curtis
)!! Had the most mature conversation with Gavin on Monday & we got the best text from him Tuesday night. I say that because getting to watch all of those stages of maturation is EVERYTHING! He’s only starting his junior year, so we’ll all get to see & celebrate so much more in the coming years. Really pumped for Gavin & the Whitley family!
